10 new tips for effective fat loss- LA Muscle

The thing with fat loss is that it can be very slow. This doesn't mean that you won't get there. It just means that for some of you, results may not come hard and fast. You need to be patient and keep at it. Persistence will pay off. It takes months and years to add fat to your body. Sometimes it can be so slow that you won't even feel it until one day you are looking in the mirror or sitting down and you see a big bulge!

Cardio, eating right and taking fat burners will all help. Below are 10 effective tips on ensuring your get continuous results that will motivate you to keep at it.

1. Don't eat heavy or large meals 5 hours before sleep

Try not to eat any major meals around 5 hours before sleep. If you get hungry, have some vegetables or an egg or low fat cheese. Drink water. This is one of the most result-producing ways of seeing fat loss. On the flip, eating late and before sleeping is one of the guaranteed ways of getting and keeping fat!

2. Cut out sugars and cut out sweeteners

Cutting out sugars will go a very long way in helping you lose fat. Some people replace sugar with sweeteners. Whilst this does make a difference and they lose more fat, they find that as surprising as it sounds, they don't keep losing fat. Somehow the sweetened taste of sweeteners seem to tell the body to hold on to fat. The best advice is to dump the sugar and dump the sweeteners too. You will soon get used to things without them and you will see more fat loss.

3. Pay attention to saturated fats on packaging

Don't "assume". Many people assume certain foods are low or no fat. Make sure you read and check packaging. Get yourself used to reading all packaging on foods you put into your body. Make sure you check out the serving you are having as opposed to fat per 100g. Make sure you are looking out for saturated fats. Ideally, you don't want to put in more than 20g of saturated fat in your body per day (less if you can).

4. Don't eat if you're not hungry

Sounds obvious, right? You would be surprised at just how many people don't listen to this advice. Yes, it is true that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and you should eat something. However, if you are genuinely not hungry in the morning, it is no point filling yourself up just for the sake of someone else's advice! If you are not hungry at lunch or dinner, don't eat! Don't starve yourself obviously but don't eat just for the sake of eating either.

5. Have a day's break - Fast or juice

Every week, pick a day to eat a lot less. Don't fast totally but just take it easy. Drink juices, have fruit and water. Give your stomach a rest. Don't fill it up too much either. Have a little juice spaced throughout the day.

6. Keep your stomach small

This is really important. Pay particular attention to the size of your stomach. The bigger you get it, the more food it will want to fill it up! Make sure you eat smaller meals, more often. Don't sit down and have a big meal with lots of water and then more liquid in the form of tea-cofee-shakes. Have your meal, have a little water and have other things in an hour or so. Don't cram everything in your stomach in one sitting. You want to get it smaller.

7. Move around

Every little helps as they say. If you sit at your desk, get up every 20 minutes and walk around. Make sure you start moving around. Don't be too lazy to go up and down the stairs to get things. If you partner asks you to bring something from upstairs, don't moan! See it as an opportunity to burn fat! Use the stairs not lifts. Walk to work if you can. Walk to the shops even for silly things that you can get later. Move. It will help fat loss and you will see quicker results.

8. Every hour, you will look different

Sounds weird but it's true. Depending on many many things, you will look different every hour. Sleep, what you have eaten, stress, water intake, salt intake, carb intake, flying, walking, sitting, exercise, sweating and so many other things will influence the way you look at any given hour. So if you look in the mirror and you look fat, remember it can have a lot to do with the pasta you ate 2 hours ago. Don't get disillusioned. You actually don't look as fat as you think and you won't look as fat in a few hours. Also remember that most people do put a little weight on in the winter. It usually comes off in the summer, so don't stress. Just keep at it.

9. Reduce salt - Drink water

Water retention can be a real problem for many people. Holding water can make you look fat! In fact many fat people are actually not that fat at all, they are just holding water!Make sure you don't cut out water. Drink plenty, reduce your salt intake as in table salt and salt in foods - read packaging and go for low sodium foods and drinks.

10. Posture

Question = What's the difference between a well built person and a geek? Answer = Posture
Question = What's the difference between a fat and a slim person?Answer = Posture.

For 50% of people, paying attention to their posture means the difference between looking good and looking bad. Standing up and sitting up straight, holding your stomach in can all help how you are perceived by your own mind and by others. Make sure you always pay attention to your posture. You can start by taking photos or videotaping yourself as you sit or walk around an see where you are going wrong.

Remember, keep at it and you WILL get there. Fat loss is not rocket science, just persistence. If you want to see faster results and give yourself a nice treat, then go for the best-selling Fat Stripper.

Supplements Counterfeiting- How to buy original supplements

Looks like counterfeiting is not exclusive to the likes of Gucci and Louis Vuitton. As LA Muscle has grown over the years, there have been a number of people that have tried to sell all sorts of things from chalk, talc to normal vitamins as genuine LA Muscle products.
In order to combat counterfeiting, LA Muscle are introducing a number of measures. Here is your guide to making sure you buy "original" LA Muscle supplements.
If you can, always buy from lamuscle.com. This guarantees you original, fresh and correctly stored and transported products, always.

Alternatively, if you are buying elsewhere, make sure you are buying from a reputable seller that has been in business for a number of years.
LA Muscle do not recommend buying from auction sites.
All LA Muscle tablet products will have an inner seal and an outer seal. Most powder products will have 2 seals also.

LA Muscle products will generally have a strong pharmaceutical or herbal smell. This is due to the high levels of active ingredients used in them.
Any product that is made to sound like an LA Muscle Product is obviously NOT an LA Muscle product. Noratine, Nortabol, Noradeem etc are NOT Norateen!
You will find a photo of ALL LA Muscle tablet products at the bottom of each page for that product. Take a close look at the shape, size and colour of the tablets/pills & capsules. Your original LA Muscle product should look like this.
LA Muscle are introducing more anti-counterfeiting measures in 2009.

Reduce Stress, Build Muscle, Lose Fat

By: Jeremey Napier

Have you tried a lot of things and yet you “still” can’t grow your muscles? Are you fed up and frustrated that you just can’t look big enough to get noticed? You will shortly learn a secret which can unlock your full muscle growth potential and give you the body you deserve…

Reduce your stress hormone
Funny name, huh? “Stress hormone”. Well it may sound funny, but there actually is a thing called the Stress Hormone, otherwise know as Cortisol.
Cortisol is produced by your adrenals and its levels rise when you are under stress. This can be any kind of stress from physical, to emotional/psychological.

Body building’s worst enemy

Cortisol is a nasty little hormone for muscle building. It goes around and breaks your muscles down so they can be used for fuel! (inconsiderate thing!) It also interferes with protein synthesis. As if that’s not bad enough, it also commands your body to store more fat!
Picture this: you are training right, eating well and resting. Then you get stressed. What happens? Cortisol goes in and says “screw your regime man, I am going to look out for myself”.

It then goes and breaks your hard-earned muscle tissue down. It also interferes with your brand-spanking new protein powder and super-anabolic products like the Norateens. It says: “NO WAY. There ain’t gonna’ be any protein synthesis here today!”
Horrible little hormone, huh? Little wonder then that you could be doing everything right, but not gaining an ounce of muscle and in fact even “losing” muscle tissue!
How can you stop Cortisol from screwing up your body building?
Simple, take out your adrenals!...OK, only kidding. Here are some PROVEN ways to reduce the release of Cortisol to ensure maximum muscle growth:
Make sure you get enough sleep. At least 8 hours a night and possibly more. Naps during the day also help.
Reduce your stress in any way possible. Meditate, do Yoga, go for walks, listen to relaxing music.
Exercise but don’t over do it. Nice and easy and steady does it.
Don’t get wound up. All too often people believe they “have” to confront others or “get it out of their system” or go beserk! You don’t need to. All this sort of behaviour does is make you more stressed and angry. Calm down. Don’t get excited. Relax.
Manage your time better. Don’t worry about the past or the future. Live in the present.
Eat well. Make sure you get lots of B vitamins in your diet. They are excellent stress reducers.
Don’t overindulge in sugar. Reduce sugar intake and keep it steady.
If you can, reduce and/or cut out caffeine drinks.
Take products like Rescue Remedy (Bach Flower Remedies) if you find yourself getting wound up all the time.

Lastly, here’s a secret arsenal in your body building regime: Anger Management. This amazing supplement by LA Muscle has been designed specifically to reduce stress, anxiety and most importantly, Cortisol.

Anger Management is recommended to anyone wanting to build muscle or lose fat as it has a scientific formulation which stops Cortisol dead in its tracks. Imagine that! It’s like a bug spray for the nasty little Cortisol. Take it for a month regularly and just notice the difference in your body. You will 100% be more muscular and leaner. In fact many top body building coaches are now recommending Anger Management to their clients emphasising that it is as important as their protein.
When you really understand how destructive and counterproductive Cortisol can be, you will see why it’s imperative to stop its interference with your muscles. If you are really stuck in your gains, give the above a good go. You will see a radical change in your muscle mass and body fat levels.

The Adaptive Turbo Principle

By: Don M.

I was talking to a Porsche salesman the other day. He was very enthusiastic about a new concept on the Porsche Turbo, called Adaptive Turbo. He explained:

"Basically, Adaptive Turbo reads your mind. If you put your foot down just once, the car will be responsive, but not very responsive. Put your foot down a few more times and the car starts responding more. Start driving like a maniac, and the turbo will really kick in full time, ensuring the car is performing optimally and giving you maximum power. Basically, the car realises that you are “in the mood”.

Interesting, huh? Are you “in the mood”? Do you feel like getting your body in tip-top shape?

Whilst there is no actual correlation here, I think the Adaptive Turbo Principle is a very good way of examining your physique and sports needs and fine tuning them. Read how…

Your body “does” adapt

Go to the gym once in a while and you will get little or no results. Start really hitting the gym with a decent program and you will start changing your body. Much like the Adaptive Turbo of the new Porsche, your body can “sense” whether you are in the mood.
If you do regular cardio sessions, your overall thermogenic mechanism will start kicking in, meaning you will burn fat continuously and efficiently. This is very different from doing a 20 minute cardio every 5 days. Hit the gym 4-5 times a week, doing 45-60 minutes of continuous cardio and your body will start burning some serious fat.
If your goal is to build muscle, then go to the gym regularly and do some proper weight training sessions and your body will recognise that you are “in the mood” and will respond accordingly.
“Once the Porsche’s Turbo is warmed up, you will get the best performance out of the car”, said the salesman.

Same for your body: Once your muscles start developing, your body will do the work. The more muscles you have, the more fat you will burn. Do more cardio and you will have better thermogenics and a faster metabolism. Once your body senses this, you are on your way. Let your body know that you are “in the mood”.

Adapting is good and bad

The above is totally true and a very accurate comparison… but up to a point. You see unlike a car which is an unintelligent piece of machinery, your body is a clever being. In a way, your body can be a pain in the ass if you don’t know how to deal with it.

As you workout and build more muscle and lose more fat, your body adapts to this and starts being less responsive. This is where you need to change your workout regime to always keep it guessing and always get results from your workouts.
Your body needs to be tricked so it is always guessing. This way you will get continuous results.
Conclusion

Apply the Adaptive Turbo Principle. Let your body know you are in the mood. Once you have got going and you are seeing results, continue. If results start diminishing, then change your workout regime (more reps, less reps, more weight, longer cardio, more pulling exercises, less pulling exercises, more pushing exercises etc) to keep getting results.

Sexy & Fun- Porsche Cayenne GTS

A quick glimpse of the Porsche Cayenne GTS super-car.

Natalie Bee interview before the BIG FIGHT on March 8th!!!

How does she feel? Find out right here, exclusively on LAMuscle.com

Just a few days until the big fight at The Opera House in Bournemouth on March 8th 2009 and I’m feeling excited with little nerves. My world title’s on the line but I feel good and have been BANG on weight for the last two weeks; 60kg and feeling fit, strong and quick. It’s been 10 weeks of hard, hard training. I’ve had my ups and downs, the good days and the bad, as well as the weeks when you just want to sleep!

I’ve been using Explosive Creatine by LA Muscle 6 weeks prior the fight which I find really helps but it takes about a week to kick in. After that though, I feel amazing! My recovery is so much quicker and endurance over the later rounds just gets better and better. My coach is really pleased with my training and I’m so pleased with the way things have gelled together. I’ve only been with the club 5 months but loving the training and feel 100 times more technical and sharper.

LA Muscle has helped me attain my full potential and grow as a fighter and I can’t ask for much more. The weather hasn’t been great but come rain or shine (and in some cases snow) I’ve been going round after round on the body-shield, the pads, running up steep hills and working my socks off to become the best.

When you’re headlining a show, everyone asks “Are you nervous yet?”

Yes, of course I get nervous but its more the anxiousness and excitement about fighting, I love it! My belt’s at risk here and I’ve worked too long and too hard to let it slip away. Getting there is tough enough, it’s the ‘staying there’ that counts. If I can help it, I will never allow myself to lose and will never ever give up. I’m so passionate about my sport, I live and breathe kickboxing and my motivation is to win and be the best and I won’t stop until that happens. In the week ahead, I'll be training, working on my speed and keeping myself sharp.

My last sparring session was Saturday 21st so I’m without injuries and living on a natural high at the moment. Tuesday 3rd is a big day for training before showdown, and a chance for me to get the most out of a session before the big night. My mental state of mind is important and as long as I’m visualising the win and focusing on the job at hand, I will become a warrior inside and out.

You can follow my training exclusively on http://www.lamuscle.tv/ as well as the fight on Sunday 8th March which will be filmed for the channel.
