Rafael Nieto is the creator of Zen-Do, a martial arts style deriving from Wado Ryu Karate via Mugendo. He is a leading martial artist and trainer who is often sought as a reference by print and broadcast media.
Born in Spain, he moved with his family to London as a child. He took up martial arts in 1975, subsequently becoming national Martial Arts champion eight times over, and representing the United Kingdom at both World and European championships, winning twice.
He became the Technical Director of the National College of Karate in 1988 and British Team Coach in 1992. By 1994 he had represented Britain at the World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO) and founded and developed the Spanish WAKO Organisation.
